Salmon Migration ViewingSalmon Migration Viewing (2 Hours)

Duration: 2 hours

Departs: This tour is seasonal and departs upon request in April and from September to mid-October for groups of 4 or more persons.

Similar to the Eagle & Salmon Viewing Cruise, this 2 hour cruise focuses on the migration of the salmon between September to Mid-October and in April, before and after the Eagle Viewing season. The Harrison River is the largest contributor of wild salmon, to the Fraser River. All species of Salmon run in the Harrison region, beginning with the Sockeye, (Aug-Dec), Chinook (Sept-Oct), Chum (Oct-Jan), Coho (Sept-Nov) and Steelhead (fall/winter/spring). During the heavy spawning months (late Sept – early Dec), Salmon can be seen swimming and jumping throughout the river, whether you are on the beach or on the boat. The return of the Salmon is quite a sight, as the whole eco-system thrives and comes to life and other animals such as Bears, Cougars, Seals and many birds take part in the frenzy. Light refreshment and small souvenir gift included.
